ACT will host a Boot Camp training for new Arkansas counties interested in becoming a Work Ready Community at the University of Central Arkansas Conference Center in Conway on February 21-22, 2024.
ACT Work Ready Community is a program that "empowers states, regions and counties with data, processes and tools that drive economic growth", according to the website.
The goals of the ACT Work Ready Community is to align career education to local employer needs, boost credentials and earnings for Arkansas students and job seekers, sharpen aim for growth in Economic Development and employer awareness and increase collaboration with a Results-Driven Framework.
More than half of Arkansas counties participate in the Work Ready Communities program.
The training is $150 per person. There is a requirement of at least two team members from each county to attend.
Lunch will not be provided.
