Struggling to support her family, Ashjanae Cooper began her journey towards a new career path by enrolling into the Licensed Practical Nursing Program (LPN) at Baptist Health College in Little Rock, Arkansas. Unfortunately, once accepted into the program, she realized that she needed additional financial assistance to complete the program.
She inquired about available options for her and learned she was eligible to participate the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program, which could provide the financial assistance that was needed to complete her educational training.
Once enrolled in the WIOA program, Ashjanae applied herself to her studies and her dedication paid off in December of 2018 when she graduated from the Licensed Practical Nursing Program and in March 2019 when she passed her NCLEX Exam and obtained her LPN License.
Shortly after, she found an amazing opportunity working full time at West Markham Subacute and Rehabilitation Center, and earning a substantial wage which has helped her family reach financial self-sufficiency.
Congratulations Ashjanae!
