During the recruiting session, participants can complete an in-person interview.


AT&T is looking for Premier Service Consultants who specialize in customer retention. Call center or customer service experience and flexibility to work any schedule during hours of operation are essential. Specific job assignments may require day, evening, weekend, or holiday hours. Occasional overtime may be required.


The Premier Service Consultants assist customers requesting to downgrade or cancel services by leveraging solution-based retention strategies to address their needs and reintroduce the value and benefits of the products and services. The goal is to deliver personalized and timely solutions and retain the customer's business. There are monthly retention goals.


The Premier Service Consultant's day-to-day entails problem-solving to de-escalate issues and change the customer's mind to cancel. They work in a fast-paced environment that handles a high volume of calls, chats, emails, or other customer interactions. The Premier Service Consultant uses multiple tools and systems to resolve service, billing, and payment inquiries and maintain customer records. They are experts at explaining customer bills, rate plans, and features of products and services. When issues arise, the Premier Service Consultant performs basic troubleshooting and engages in Tier 3 support. The Premier Service Consultant works 40 hours a week and has a set schedule which includes breaks, lunches, and scheduled open time. They may also be cross-trained to answer other customer service calls, including collections, retention, sales channel coordination, billing and adjustments, and advanced technical support.


All Premier Service Consultants receive paid training and additional resources.


The Premier Service Consultant earns between $31,200 and $36,218 and up to $12,000 in commissions per year if all sales goals are met.


The hybrid position works at the Cantrell location three to four days a week and remotely from home one to two days a week.


The requirements to work from home are verified internet service and an established work area. AT&T will provide all the equipment needed to get started. The workplace has to be aligned with work-from-home standards and will be audited. To work from home, the Premier Service Consultant must be available, accessible, and accountable during established work schedules and shifts. The worker must follow technical support processes, comply with organizational security and compliance standards, training, and more.
