Employers across the state and country have reported difficulty filling positions in their workforce despite the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions, so the Central Arkansas Workforce Development Area Business Service Team collaborated with multiple organizations to organize three job fairs in the last month as part of ongoing efforts to assist companies throughout the serving area in overcoming the challenges of recruiting.
After more than a year of limited in-person job fairs across Arkansas, the Central Arkansas Workforce Development Area established a convenient way for companies and job seekers to interact and hosted three in-person job fairs in Maumelle, Conway, and Morrilton, Arkansas.
These job fairs all took place in person, with 129 employers and community resource organizations giving job applications, on-the-spot interviews, and connections to community resources.

Approximately 332 job seekers had the opportunity to meet with businesses and learn about each organization, and 24 percent of those looking for work were either hired on the spot or scheduled for interviews.
These job fairs were a huge success thanks to the collaboration of the City of Maumelle, the Arkansas Division of Workforce Services, and the Morrilton Chamber of Commerce.
