Upon beginning her journey into the Practical Nursing Program at the Arkansas State University Three Rivers, Infiniti Dunn was ecstatic, but she was also faced with several challenges that had the potential to end her journey with significant debt.
Lacking the funding needed to complete her education, she inquired about available options for her and learned she was eligible to participate the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Adult program, which could provide the financial assistance that was needed to complete her educational training.
In January 2019, she enrolled in the WIOA Adult program at the Arkansas Workforce Center in North Little Rock. Infiniti applied herself to her studies and her dedication paid off on December 11, 2020 when she graduated from the Practical Nursing Program. Shortly after, she passed her NCLEX Exam and obtained her Multi-State Practical Nursing License. Infiniti realized that she could achieve any obstacle and gained tremendous confidence in pursuing her education in the medical field.
Later, she received gainful employment at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Little Rock earning a wage of $25.00 per hour. Despite her challenges, the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Adult program enabled Infiniti to overcome them, and she obtained her degree and a new career in the Health Care Industry.
