Local Workforce Center Receives Award

On May 17, 2019, the Arkansas Workforce Center at Brinkley received an Outstanding Business Partner Award from the Adult Learning Alliance (ALA) at their Annual Luncheon, which was held at the Clinton Presidential Center.

The Outstanding Business Partner Award recognizes a business partner who has diligently built and maintained a strong, dependable relationship with a literacy council over an extended period of time. Literacy Council Executive Director, Martha Pineda submitted the nomination and stated that the Arkansas Workforce Center at Brinkley has helped create an environment of stability and security, allowing the literacy council to provide consistent, quality support to their students.

As a result of this partnership, as well as many others, the Workforce Center has helped reduce illiteracy by providing assistance with learning to read, job search, resume classes, and job readiness for residents of Monroe and Prairie Counties.
