Representatives from White River Energetics will be at the job fair from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

 

White River Energetics manufactures and distributes primers for small-caliber ammunition.

 

According to White River Energetics' Career page, they are hiring for the following positions: Assembly Operator 1, Assembly Operator 2, and Explosive Technician.

 

The Assembly Operator 1 is part of a production team manufacturing small arms ammunition primers. They are responsible for assembling ammunition primers, paying careful attention to detail while maintaining equipment tolerances, orienting primer cups, charging cups with the primer mix, orienting and setting primer anvils, applying lacquer, inspecting different stages of the assembly process, keeping workstations clean and neat, ensure primers meet quality standards and adhere to all WRE safety, production, and workforce policies. The Assembly Operator must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, meet deadlines and stay on task, work well with team members, maintain a safe working environment, and stand and move for extended periods. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous manufacturing experience is not required. 

 

The Assembly Operator 2 (Charger) is also part of the production team that manufactures small ammunition primers. They are responsible for maintaining equipment tolerances, charging cups with primer mix, filling in and helping with other assembly cell stations, inspecting during different stages of the assembly process to maintain quality and consistency, keeping workstations clean and neat, working with quality control to ensure primers meet quality standards and adhere to all WRE safety, production, and workforce policies. The Assembly Operator 2 must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines and stay on task, work well with team members, cleanliness, and the ability to make and maintain a safe working environment and stand and move for extended periods. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and previous manufacturing experience.

 

The Explosive Technician is responsible for preparing solutions and other materials used in energetic synthesis, monitoring explosive synthesis by a remote camera and computer logic systems to ensure a quality product, using moisture balance, pH systems, and scales including calibration techniques, properly processing techniques of energetic materials, properly handling energetic materials, and properly transporting and delivering energetic materials and dry materials to various plants. Applicants must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and attention to detail, time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate, must function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment, proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and related software, ability to lift 50 pounds and wear respiratory protection such as dust masks and PRPA. Applicants must have a high school diploma and previous experience in energetics or handling chemicals. A college degree is preferred but not required.

 

Applicants must be 18 or older, never convicted, indicted, or on probation for a felony charge, or have a medical marijuana card.

 

The starting pay for entry-level positions is $16 per hour; however, a raise is available after 90 days of employment, daily production bonuses, and shift differentials.
