The United States Department of Labor announced the award of five grants totaling $11.6 million to Arkansas, Indiana, Maryland, Mississippi, and New Mexico to improve the delivery of training and employment services and monitor their performance.
The Workforce Data Quality Initiative funds, administered by the Employment and Training Administration, will assist the construction and extension of workforce longitudinal databases, as well as their ability to share performance data with stakeholders. The databases contain information on programs that provide training and employment assistance, as well as information obtained during the service delivery process.
